On September 1st, news came from the overseas technology marketing service company that the JICHAI 16V natural gas generator set applied to the CNOOC "Offshore Oil 161" oil extraction platform has accumulated over 85000 hours of operation, providing strong support for China's deep-sea exploration and development with "domestically manufactured" technology.

The "Offshore Oil 161" platform was officially put into operation in July 2012. It’s China's first self installed oil extraction platform and the first movable platform capable of achieving "bee mode" oil extraction in marginal oil fields. In order to meet the high investment and development difficulty of "offshore marginal oil fields", the platform adopts a mobile, self installing, and low investment construction mode, integrating production, oil storage, export, and daily life. It has strict requirements for the stability, reliability, and product performance of power equipment.

As an energy and power equipment R&D and manufacturing service enterprise under the CNPC, the company takes "ensuring energy security" as its responsibility, fully leverages the advantages of equipment manufacturing and scientific research innovation, and "tailors" this CCFJ1000J-Y1 natural gas generator set for CNOOC user. It uses the associated gas generated during project operation, fully supporting the orderly promotion of platform production and life.

In order to meet the operational requirements of offshore drilling platforms, the company has incorporated intake pressure regulation technology into the product development process to meet the associated gas application environment; The key components of the product are made of 316L stainless steel material, which effectively resists the erosion of the unit in the high salt spray environment at sea; At the same time, the safety and explosion-proof protection level of the product will be upgraded to the highest level to ensure the safe and orderly operation of the platform.

In the more than ten years since the generator set was put into operation, except for routine maintenance periods, there have been no shutdowns due to malfunctions. In 2020 and 2024, four natural gas generator sets were successively put into service on CNOOC Tianjin 33-1 platform and Enping 18-6 platform; In March 2024, two reciprocating compressor sets applied to the high hydrogen sulfide associated gas treatment process were installed and commissioned at the site of the secondary development project of Liuhua 11-1/4-1 oilfield.
